Job summary

Allensworth, a busy commercial construction law firm in downtown Austin, seeks a full-time Paralegal (Transactions) to support our busy practice. You will work closely with transaction attorneys, paralegals, and staff to manage real estate and contract matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include variance checks, client engagement letters, conflict checks, and proofreading contracts using AIA ACD5.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a legal setting.
• Experience as a contract administrator and AIA ACD5 software preferred.
• Experience as a real estate paralegal or legal assistant is highly desirable.
• Excellent writing, communication, time-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Run variance checks and finalize contracts utilizing AIA ACD5.
• Maintain contract template folders with up-to-date forms.
• Assist with transactions team workflow and client communications.
• Proofread design and construction contracts for accuracy.
• Prepare client engagement letters and manage new client files.
• Run conflict checks and draft waivers as needed.
• Schedule attorney-client meetings and contract negotiations.
• Provide general administrative support and handle special projects.
