Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking an experienced lawyer to join an in-house legal team supporting a portfolio of wind, solar, energy storage and transmission assets across North America.

You will advise on sophisticated financing and strategic transactions enabling development and growth of large-scale renewable energy projects, collaborating with finance, development, origination and commercial stakeholders. 4–12 years PQE in project finance or energy transactions is ideal.

Qualifications

• 4–12 years' PQE in corporate, finance or energy law
• Background in project finance, renewable energy transactions or infrastructure
• Experience with M&A or strategic transactions in energy sector
• In-house or top law firm training with exposure to energy or infrastructure projects

• Advise on project financings and structured finance transactions
• Advise on tax equity investments and transfer structures
• Support back-leverage and corporate financings
• Handle acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements for large infrastructure projects

A leading renewable energy developer, owner and operator is seeking an experienced lawyer to join its in-house legal team supporting a portfolio of wind, solar, energy storage and transmission assets across North America.

The Role

Working closely with finance, development, origination and commercial stakeholders, you will advise on a range of matters including:

• Project financings and structured finance transactions
• Tax equity investments and transfer structures
• Back-leverage and corporate financings
• Acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures
• Commercial agreements supporting major infrastructure projects

The Ideal Background

We are interested in speaking with lawyers who have approximately 4-12 years' PQE and a background in one or more of the following areas:

• Project finance
• Renewable energy transactions
• Infrastructure and energy projects
• Energy M&A or strategic transactions

Candidates are likely to have trained and practised at a leading law firm and/or gained in-house experience within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
