Job summary

The junior corporate energy associate role seeks 1-3 years of experience in corporate, energy or infrastructure transactions, with admission to the state bar. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting, research and negotiation skills, and be able to handle complex transactions from inception to closing.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in corporate, energy or infrastructure related transactions.
• Be admitted to the state bar of your desired office location.
• Knowledge on tax equity financings, structured financings, and complex investment arrangements is advantageous.
• Experience with Project finance and development, M&A, and joint venture transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Sound business judgement and a commercial mindset.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Confident and persuasive communicator, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive legal research and analysis to support transaction preparation and strategy.
• Draft memos, contracts, and correspondence.
• Assist and manage a range of complex transactions from inception to closing including preparing for trials, negotiations, and settlements.
• Building strong client relationships and provide support and advice on a regular basis.
• Working closely with other legal professionals to develop cutting-edge transaction strategies.

What your day-to-day will look like
