This position has an annual rate of $47,379.07.

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Transactional Auditor plays a crucial role by conducting a wide-range of audits, including audits of licensed operators to determine statutory and procedural compliance.

Position Responsibilities

• Analyzes and verifies reports submitted by licensed operators and make necessary documentary and/or monetary adjustments.
• Investigates relevant legal and policy issues.
• Prepares audit reports documenting conclusions of audits and provides recommendations.
• Resolves audits and brings licensed operators into compliance.
• Identifies persistent error trends and reports those trends immediately to management.
• Participates on a phone bank and answers phone calls and emails on a daily basis.
• Level II- Assist in training new licensed operators as needed.
• Level II and III- Assist with training new employees.
• Level III- Review other employees completed audits for accuracy, completeness and compliance with statutory law, rules and procedures and communciate to supervisor.
• Level III- Review and update division policy and procedures to reflect needs of Service Oklahoma.
• Other duties as assigned.

LEVEL DESCRIPTORS

Level I

• The Level I is considered entry level of the job family where employees are primarily responsible for performing various routine audits, reviews, investigations or assisting in the completion of more complex audits or investigations as a member of an audit team. It also includes entry-level auditors who generally perform such work in a training status to build their skills in completing various types of audits and reviews.

Level II

• The Level II is the career level of this job family where employees are assigned responsibilities at the full performance level for completing or participating in a wide range of audit assignments. This may include independent responsibility for conducting audits of various functions or activities or serving as a member of an audit team in completing more complex audits. Duties performed will include planning, scheduling, and conducting audits, evaluating financial controls; identifying deficiencies, and preparing audit reports. There may also be some limited responsibilities assigned for training or providing limited supervision to less experienced auditors on an occasional basis.

Level III

• The Level III is the subject-matter-expert level of this job family where employees are assigned responsibility for performing advanced level work involving a wide range of audit functions or activities, audits of an unusually complex nature, or other similar work.

Education & Experience

Level I

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field;
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Level II

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field; PLUS one (1) year of bookkeeping, auditing, accounting, or similar field;
• OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Level III

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field; PLUS two (2) years of bookkeeping, auditing, accounting, or similar field;
• OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Special Requirements

• The schedule for this position may vary and require flexibility, including some early or late shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime, based on the needs of the agency.
• This position may require occasional travel. The selected candidate must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel. State vehicles may be available, but reliable transportation may be required for local travel.
• This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday.
