Job summary

Berenzweig Leonard, LLP is seeking a transactional associate attorney with 2–6 years of relevant experience to support a busy corporate transactional practice. The role involves work in M&A, capital raises and other business transactions, government contracting, employment, software licensing, and IP transactional matters.

The position offers a hybrid remote work model in the United States and a base salary range of $125,000 – $175,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years’ experience in M&A/transactions or similar role.
• Drafting transaction agreements, leading due diligence, and managing closings.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Timely, high-quality work product and quick subject-matter learning.
• Team-oriented mindset; current Virginia bar in good standing (or in process).

Berenzweig Leonard is looking for a transactional associate attorney with 2-6 years of relevant experience to support a busy and growing corporate transactional practice. Work entails M&A, capital raises and other business transactions, government contracting, employment, software licensing, and IP transactional matters.

While this position will primarily support our firm’s corporate transactional team, our firm’s collaborative approach provides the opportunity for the associate to engage with all of our firm’s core practice areas, including business and employment law, government contracts, intellectual property, and business litigation.

Requirements:

• 2-6 years’ experience working in an M&A and transactional practice or similar role.
• Hands-on experience drafting transaction and other agreements, leading due diligence, and managing closings.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Able to deliver timely and high-quality work product.
• Aptitude for quick learning and subject matter expertise development.
• Able to thrive in a team-oriented culture.
• Current member of Virginia bar in good standing (or in process).
