The established Chicago law firm is seeking a Transactional Attorney with strong corporate and commercial transaction experience. The role involves handling M&A, corporate and related matters for entrepreneurs, developers, investors, lenders, and closely held businesses.

Responsibilities include drafting, negotiating, and independently managing matters while collaborating with attorneys across practice areas; due diligence, document review, and preparation of transaction documents.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 4+ years of substantive transactional experience.
• Strong experience with corporate/M&A and commercial transactions.
• Experience with commercial real estate, private equity, lending or related transactional work is highly valued.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.

Role Overview:

The attorney will handle a range of M&A, corporate, commercial real estate, private equity, and business transactions, with significant responsibility for drafting, negotiating, and independently managing matters while collaborating with attorneys across multiple practice areas.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 – $200,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful
