  • Identify potential liabilities, coverage gaps, and insurance-related risks that may impact clients' valuations, future operations, or overall risk profile.
  • Analyze claims data, loss trends, insurance costs, and program structures to quantify clients’ financial risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, and recommendations that support informed investment decisions.
  • Partner with investors, attorneys, lenders, accountants, and Scott production team members throughout the due diligence process to gather information, evaluate risk, and support transaction objectives.
  • Support post-transaction risk management strategies, insurance program optimization, and practice growth initiatives for assigned clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience supporting private equity transactions and due diligence engagements, with a background in commercial insurance, underwriting, risk management, brokerage, claims analysis, transaction advisory, consulting, or a related field.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license, or the ability to obtain licensure within 60 days of employment.
  • Knowledge of commercial property & casualty insurance coverages, risk financing concepts, and underwriting principles.
  • Experience analyzing insurance programs, claims data, and risk exposures; experience supporting mergers and acquisitions or private equity transactions is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex insurance concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Strong business acumen, attention to detail, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
