Job summary

A local gymnastics organization in Seattle is seeking coaches for their Competitive Trampoline & Tumbling (T&T) program. Candidates should have a passion for teaching progressive gymnastics and fostering a positive, nurturing environment for young athletes. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, assessing skill development, and engaging with parents about their children's progress. The position offers flexible scheduling with both full-time and part-time roles available, along with competitive pay and an excellent benefits package. Ideal candidates will have previous coaching experience or a strong gymnastics background.

Qualifications

• Previous experience coaching T&T or as a high-level gymnast preferred.
• Knowledge of USAG Code of Points and Safety Certification.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and promote a positive learning environment.

Trampoline & Tumbling (T&T) Competitive Coach – Ballard

At Seattle Gymnastics Academy, we operate programs under three types of categories: Play, Learn and Compete. Our Compete program is intended for gymnasts who have already experienced and progressed in our Learn (recreational) program, and have shown interest and aptitude to advance to a competitive experience, and have a coach referral.

We are looking for qualified coaches to nurture and grow our competitive T&T (Trampoline & Tumbling) program at SGA. You will join a team of other supportive and well-established T&T coaches to help expand the growing popularity of this exciting gymnastics discipline.

• Teaching progressive gymnastics classes in our Trampoline and Tumbling (T&T) Program. Many of our instructors work in multiple departments, teaching a wide range of ages and levels, and T&T Coaches on the Competitive Team are likely to teach in our Learn (recreational) program as well.

• Communicates to front desk and marketing regarding programming
• Continually assess program for success
• Markets / promotes program internally and externally
• Works with other site Program Directors on overall gym programming and consistency as well as curriculum development
• Communicating with SGA parents about their child’s progression in your classes. Our coaches play a key role in their development as a child and as an athlete.
• Participating in our paid training opportunities. This can include our SGA University courses, USA Gymnastics clinics, sessions offered by our in-house SGA trainers, and more
• Assist in light cleaning and sanitation duties to keep our gyms fresh and ready for the next round of classes
• Performs other duties as assigned

SGA is looking for:

• Previous experience coaching T&T, or as a high level gymnast is preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of USAG Code of Points, USAG Safety Certification
• Ability to spot athletes safely and effectively
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with both youth and adults
• Enthusiastic about working with youth – previous experience is preferred
• Experience working in fast-paced, active environments
• Ability to resolve any conflict or disagreements that may arise
• Desire to promote a positive learning environment for every child
• Desire to grow and lead within SGA
• We are looking for team members who are available primarily during weekday evenings. We havefull-time andpart-time roles.
