Job summary

Seattle Gymnastics Academy in Seattle, WA invites a dedicated T&T Competitive Coach to join our growing team. You will lead progressive training for trampoline and tumbling athletes on our competitive program while collaborating with Learn program staff to align development across levels.

Responsibilities include creating engaging lesson plans, tracking skill progression, and communicating with parents. A strong focus on safety, positive coaching, and career growth within SGA will be provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years old.
• Experience coaching T&T, or high-level gymnast background.
• Knowledge of USAG Code of Points; safety certification preferred.
• Ability to spot athletes safely and effectively.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with youth and adults.
• Enthusiastic about working with youth; experience in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach progressive gymnastics classes in the T&T program.
• Collaborate across departments; may teach Learn program as well.
• Create lesson plans and track skill development.
• Follow SGA mission and promote a positive environment.
• Communicate with front desk, parents, and marketing about programming.
• Participate in paid training opportunities and ongoing education.
• Assist with light cleaning and gym upkeep.

At Seattle Gymnastics Academy, we operate programs under three types of categories: Play, Learn and Compete. Our Compete program is intended for gymnasts who have already experienced and progressed in our Learn (recreational) program, and have shown interest and aptitude to advance to a competitive experience, and have a coach referral.We are looking for qualified coaches to nurture and grow our competitive T&T (Trampoline & Tumbling) program at SGA. Many of our instructors work in multiple departments, teaching a wide range of ages and levels, and T&T Coaches on the Competitive Team are likely to teach in our Learn (recreational) program as well.SGA Coaches must demonstrate a commitment to a safe, positive environment where our athletes can compete, develop, and flourish.Creating your own lesson plans and tracking skill development. We provide the resources, but you get to be creative in how you want to teach your gymnasts.
