Seattle Gymnastics Academy in Seattle, WA is hiring a Recreational Coach to help kids discover strength and confidence through gymnastics. Full‑time and part‑time roles are available across multiple Seattle locations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a gymnast preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach progressive gymnastics classes in Preschool, Recreational, Trampoline & Tumbling.
• Create lesson plans aligned with the skill chart per level.
• Maintain attendance consistency for scheduled classes.
• Track skill development and communicate with parents about progress.
• Participate in paid training opportunities such as SGA University courses and USA Gymnastics clinics.
• Assist with light cleaning duties to keep the gyms ready for the next round of classes.

Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00 hourly

Overview

At Seattle Gymnastics Academy, we operate programs under three types of categories: Play, Learn and Compete. Our recreational classes, under the Learn umbrella, are at the very heart of what we do – teaching strength, skill and character through gymnastics.

As a Recreational Coach, you will help kids of all ages, genders and abilities discover their own strength and confidence. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or competitive gymnast, or someone who has taught gymnastics at any level and wants to continue by teaching others. It is also suitable for those with coaching experience in other sports who are willing to translate those skills to gymnastics coaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach progressive gymnastics classes in one of our departments – Preschool, Recreational, Trampoline & Tumbling, and more
• Create your own lesson plans that are purposeful in teaching progressive gymnastics and aligned with the skill chart per level
• Maintain a consistency in attendance of your class schedules once set
• Track skill development and communicate with parents about their child’s progression in your classes; coordinate face‑to‑face chats and update skill charts in the online platform
• Participate in paid training opportunities such as SGA University courses, USA Gymnastics clinics, and sessions offered by in‑house SGA trainers
• Assist with light cleaning duties to keep our gyms fresh and ready for the next round of classes

Qualifications

• Experience as a gymnast, either competitive or as a high‑school gymnast, is preferred.• Ability to create lesson plans and adapt to multiple age groups and skill levels.• A sense of responsibility, willingness to learn and a commitment to building a safe, positive environment for kids.• Experience coaching in other sports is a plus if you can translate those skills to gymnastics coaching.
