Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment’s Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking a Part-Time Tram Driver to transport guests and Ambassadors, assist with wheelchairs, and operate trams/shuttles across the park. The role requires flexibility and a focus on guest service.

Applicants must be 18+, hold a VA CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement (restrictions removed if needed), maintain a valid DOT card, and meet driving guidelines. The position pays 18.00 USD per hour with park perks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold VA CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement (or restrictions removed).
• Must maintain a valid DOT Physical card.
• Must maintain a clean driving record and meet company driving guidelines.
• 2 years driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service in a team environment.
• Operate trams to transport guests and Ambassadors to designated stops.
• Operate shuttle buses for Ambassadors around the park and housing village.
• Provide crowd control for tram operations.
• Assist guests with wheelchairs or strollers on and off trams.
• Make announcements on the tram with a microphone.
• Communicate professionally with Ambassadors, Vendors, and guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Tram Driver, you’ll take on a variety of responsibilities to get our guests and Ambassadors to their designated stops, including working all positions within the Guest Arrival team. This includes parking lot positions, tollbooths, pet kennels, turnstiles, and driver/spieler positions. You will:

• Provide exceptional, professional guest service in a team environment
• Operate trams to transport guests and Ambassadors from remote parking sites
• Operate shuttle buses to transport Ambassadors around the park and to the Ambassador Housing Village
• Provide crowd control for our courtesy tram operation
• Assist guests with wheelchairs or strollers on and off trams
• Make announcements on the tram with a microphone
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors, and our Guests
• Perform other duties as assigned

What It Takes To Succeed

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have one of the following valid VA Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDL): Class A or Class B with passenger (P) endorsement.
• Cannot have the following VA CDL restrictions:
• No Full Air brakes
• No Air over hydraulic brakes
• (N) Passenger operations limited to Class C vehicles
• (P) Cannot operate passenger-carrying vehicles
• (Q) Restricted school/daycare transportation authority.
• Must be able to have the following VA CDL restrictions removed, if applicable:
• (I) Government-owned vehicles only
• (J) School/activity buses only
• Must maintain a valid DOT Physical card
• Must maintain a clean driving record
• Must be able to meet company driving guidelines
• 2 years of experience as a driver preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively, including speaking on a microphone

What Else Is Important

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, loud noises, vibrations, motion, and cold/heat temperature extremes.
• Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
• Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities

Compensation

18.00 USD HOURLY
