Job summary

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in English (or related field), 7+ years of technical writing, and proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign. SECRET clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years’ technical writing experience.
• Experience with Coast Guard/DoD/DHS documentation preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Suite.
• Experience developing templates and style guides.
• Secret clearance possible under task order.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive writing and editing support per client requirements and SOPs.
• Edit content for completeness, accuracy, and language; ensure proper formatting and navigation.
• Proofread by comparing final versions with marked-up versions.
• Verify references from DoD/DHS directives and related publications.
• Format documents for print-ready PDFs and manage source materials.
