Job summary

SAIC supports NASA Johnson Space Center's Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate. The Training Specialist 1 will teach NASA Workmanship Standards and IPC courses to NASA and contractor staff, under the guidance of a Training Lead.

Position requires Level B instructor certification and occasional travel (2–3 weeks every other year) to NAS Level A centers and IPC centers. Strong presentation skills, MS Office proficiency, and ability to work independently or in teams are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Degree is required.
• US Citizenship is required.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of related technical experience (soldering, fiber optics, electronics, harnessing, assembly, processing, inspection) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Teach NASA Workmanship Standards and IPC courses as defined for the Training Specialist 1.
• Support the Training Lead in developing new lesson plans and updates to training materials.
• Maintain classroom equipment and facilities.
