Job summary

PetroSea seeks a training specialist to design and deliver programs for mining and heavy equipment operators. You will prepare and deliver classroom and on-the-job training, assess competence, and refresh skills based on field data. You will also maintain SHE programs and ensure alignment with ISO and internal standards.

The role requires travel to project sites, flexibility to extend hours, and strong presentation and leadership abilities. English fluency is advantageous for this position.

Qualifications

  • Min 3 years experience in mining and heavy equipment.
  • Cert. III in Engineering (electrical/electronic and mechanical), preferably Cert. IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Proficient knowledge about mining processes.
  • Extensive knowledge about heavy equipment and its components.
  • Willing to travel to all project sites.
  • Willing to work extended hours to fill in a relief role when trainer is unavailable.
  • Good presentation and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Train and assess theory, practical, and safety of operating technique for the machine / heavy equipment according to manuals and SOPs.
  • Prepare training materials (handout, presentation and assessment) and ensure they are well-prepared.
  • Deliver training for all operators in class and on-the-job, reinforcing unsafe actions and conditions.
  • Conduct refresh training based on field observations and productivity data, theory tests and practicals.
  • Demonstrate operating techniques according to procedures.
  • Maintain and implement SHE programs and risk controls, ensuring ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMK3 & SMKP standards are met.

  • Train and assess theory, practical, and safety of operating technique the machine / Heavy Equipment according to machine / HE product operating manual and Company Standard Operating Procedure.
Job Responsibilities

Prepare training material (Handout, Presentation and Assessment). Training materials are well-prepared.

Deliver the training for all operators, both in class and job training, reminding of unsafe action and unsafe condition to all employees. Training is well-delivered; both in class and on the job training.

Conduct refresh training for operator skills and knowledge based on field observations and productivity data, theory test and practical to all of candidate procedure. Refresh training is succesfully conducted.

Show the operating technique of the machine according to operating procedure. Operating technique is successfully shown.

Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained

Education

High School Graduate of Any major

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Min. 3 year experiences in Mining and Heavy Equipment.
  • Cert. III in Engineering of both electrical/electronic and mechanical trades – preferably holding Cert. IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Has proficient knowledge about Mining processes.
  • Has extensive knowledge about heavy equipment and its components
  • Willing to travel to all company’s project sites.
  • Willing to work extended hours to meet the objectives as to fill in a relief role whilst the site training instructor/coordinator is unavailable.
  • Good presentation and leadership skill.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage
