Responsibilities

  • Pre-Hire: coordinate testing logistics and track results.
  • Training Implementation: schedule, facilitate, and track training activities; rollout new programs.
  • Employee Engagement: act as primary contact for training logistics and follow-up.
  • Course Delivery: conduct in-class and on-floor training; operate training equipment and digital tools.
  • Recordkeeping & Reporting: maintain training records, LMS data, and completion certificates.
  • Continuous Improvement: collect feedback and refine content and scheduling.

My client is an innovative American automotive manufacturer focused on redefining affordable electric mobility. They are developing a new generation of purpose-built electric vehicles with an emphasis on simplicity, modular design, and customer customisation.

They are looking for a Training Specialist to join their expanding team on a Contract basis. The role will be based in Warsaw, Indiana.

Job Description:
  • Our Client is seeking Training Specialists to support orientation delivery during a high volume hiring ramp in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • The Training Specialist plays a critical role in executing training programs designed by the Learning and Development team.
  • This position works directly with employees, supervisors, and department managers to schedule, facilitate, and track training activities across the plant.
  • The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-focused, and comfortable delivering training in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Education & Experience:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in training, facilitation, or adult learning preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in training coordination or facilitation, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience working with hourly employees and frontline supervisors is highly desirable.
Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple training schedules and priorities.
  • Comfortable presenting to groups and facilitating hands-on learning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and LMS platforms.
What You Get To Do:
Pre-Hire
  • Support administration of pre-hire skills assessments, including coordinating testing logistics, ensuring completion, and tracking results in alignment with hiring requirements.
Training Implementation & Coordination
  • Coordinate training schedules with the Training Lead to minimize operational disruption.
  • Facilitate hands-on training sessions, including onboarding, safety refreshers, and job-specific skill development.
  • Support the rollout of new training programs, including pilot sessions and feedback collection.
Employee Engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding training logistics, attendance, and follow-up.
  • Provide one-on-one support to employees needing additional guidance or accommodation during training.
Course Delivery
  • Conduct classroom and on-the-floor training sessions using materials developed by the Learning and Development team.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of training equipment, simulations, and digital learning tools.
Recordkeeping & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, and completion certificates.
  • Input training data into the Learning Management System (LMS) and generate reports as needed.
Continuous Improvement
  • Gather feedback from trainees and supervisors to identify opportunities for improving training delivery.
  • Collaborating with the Learning and Development team to refine content and scheduling based on operational needs.
