Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Training Specialist at its Brighton, CO facility to design and execute training programs that boost employee performance. You will supervise a team delivering, planning, scheduling, and developing training, while coordinating with stakeholders to meet business goals.

You will partner with Managers and P&C to develop progression paths, manage compliance training, and implement new training technologies. Strong English, MS Office, and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, adult learning, organizational development or equivalent discipline.
  • 5 years of previous training or training coordinating experience in curriculum design, development and delivery.
  • 1-3 years Leading or Supervising a team.
  • Knowledge of techniques and philosophies of adult education.
  • High level of written English; ability to create training programs, instructions and manuals.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and establish targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interface with management and key business stakeholders to determine training needs.
  • Work directly with Managers and P&C on high performance teams through progression development strategy.
  • Develop training plans aligned to business objectives.
  • Collaborate with regional and global training teams to deliver corporate training initiatives.
  • Manage training department staff including employee performance.
  • Oversee design of training programs and schedules based on identified needs and processes.
  • Oversee annual compliance training programs and reporting.
  • Research new training technologies to incorporate innovation into programs.
  • Develop training effectiveness program to monitor success.
  • Apply continuous improvement to evolve training programs for competitiveness.
  • Coordinate on-the-job training with supervisor/manager of new employees.
  • Lead research, selection and management of outside consultants and trainers.
  • Maintain training records for attendance in compliance with company standards.
  • Evaluate training for evidence of effectiveness per guidelines.
  • Keep training interactive and aligned with adult learning theory.
  • Work varying shifts to support training requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Training Specialist

General Purpose:

The Training Specialist develops the training tactical plan. Interfaces directly with stakeholders for requirements which are converted into training programs supporting business requirements. Responsible for direct supervision of a Team that delivers, plans, schedules and develops employee training that results in effective employee performance related to training programs. Performs a variety of administrative activities including database management, drafting reports, and presentations to Leadership teams.

Essential Functions

Education, Training, and Skills Required

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnishedin written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Salary - $90K - $110K
