Vestas seeks a Site Supervisor to lead a team of technicians at our wind farm, ensuring safe, efficient daily operations. You will report to the Site Manager and help drive maintenance and performance improvements across turbines.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, technical maintenance knowledge, and clear communication with clients to meet contractual obligations. On-site work with a focus on safety and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent years in management/leadership experience in a service field industry.
  • Demonstrated abilities in leadership and managing teams effectively.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of maintenance practices.
  • Proficient problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit, able to work at heights and in varying conditions, with valid driver’s license and legal work authorization in the U.S.
  • Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English.

Job description

As a Site Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in the daily operations at our wind farm, ensuring optimal performance. Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll help lead a team of technicians, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure service excellence across all maintenance and operational activities.   • Cultivate a safety-focused environment at the site and promote continuous improvement.
  • Establish meaningful connections with clients to meet contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate maintenance and support operations to enhance turbine efficiency.
  • Manage technician schedules, work assignments and logistics in partnership with the Site Manager.
  • Associate degree or equivalent years in management/leadership experience in a service field industry. Will consider 3-5yrs of similar industry or technology such as hydraulic, rotating heavy equipment service and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated abilities in leadership and managing teams effectively.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of maintenance practices.
  • Proficient problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit, comfortable working at heights and in varying conditions, with a high school diploma (or equivalent), valid driver's license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English.

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Hearing ability to use telephones, close range radios or related device.
  • Visual acuity including depth perception, field of vision and the ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed, as well hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to climb stairs & vertical ladders to heights of 60 to 100 meters and at times supervise work in confined space environments.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to, but not more than 50 lbs. in weight.
  • Ability to observe training and obtain certification in required safety programs that include LOTO, Electrical Qualification, Fall Arrest & High Angle Rescue & Emergency Decent, and Confined Space.
  • Ability to successfully participate in all training courses, including controlled decent practical exercises.
  • Due to design parameters of fall protection equipment, the combined weight of prospective employee, required PPE and gear, shall not exceed 300 lbs. Required PPE and gear may weigh up to 40 lbs.
