Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee is seeking a detail-oriented Program Coordinator to manage the daily administrative activities of the program. You will support the team to help achieve the program's goals.

Responsibilities include developing materials, maintaining databases, tracking timelines, supporting animal husbandry programs, monitoring the budget, and coordinating meetings, trainings, and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; experience may substitute education on a 1:1 basis.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred experience in animal husbandry or lab animal settings.

Summary

Work closely with Program Manager or Program Director to coordinate the daily administrative activities of the program. Provide support to the team to facilitate the achievement of the program's goals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the development of program materials including educational materials, marketing materials, websites, forms, and reports.
• Work with program leaders to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive databases and files related to the program.
• Maintain program timeline including tracking deadlines for program components.
• Support animal husbandry programs
• Monitor program budget.
• Organize internal and external meetings, site visits, and special events.
• Conduct or coordinate training for program participants.
• Collect, analyze, and disseminate program data.
• Report program data and progress to program stakeholders.
• Participate on appropriate committees relevant to the advancement of the program and the profession.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities

• Knowledge of computers, clerical procedures, customer service standards, collaboration, and information management.
• Organization, time management, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of animal husbandry

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Required Experience: 2 years

Preferred Experience: animal husbandry/lab animal experience

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
