Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Training & Operations Lessons Learned Specialist to support USSOUTHCOM’s SCOPES program by transforming operational observations into actionable improvements across training, doctrine and planning.

You will collect, analyze, validate, and integrate lessons from exercises and operations to strengthen readiness and mission success throughout the Western Hemisphere. The role requires experience with joint operations, staff processes, and producing

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Experience supporting Joint/Service operations, training, exercises, or lessons learned.
• Knowledge of Joint operations, staff processes, training management, and planning.
• Ability to conduct independent research, develop recommendations, and brief senior leaders.
• Strong analytical, writing, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support JLLP by collecting, analyzing, validating, and integrating lessons identified.
• Conduct operational analysis to identify trends and best practices.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate After Action Reviews (AARs).
• Develop and update lessons learned guidance, procedures, and directives.
• Coordinate with Joint Staff, Combatant Commands and interagency partners.
• Prepare executive information papers, decision papers, and briefings.
• Advise on organizational learning and lessons integration to improve processes.
