Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Training & Operations Lessons Learned Specialist to support the USSOUTHCOM Joint Lessons Learned Program.

The role focuses on collecting, analyzing, validating, and integrating operational lessons to drive improvements in training, doctrine, and planning across the Western Hemisphere. The specialist will develop recommendations, produce executive papers, and coordinate with Joint Staff and interagency partners to institutionalize best practices and ensure mission

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Experience supporting Joint or Service-level operations and lessons learned.
• Knowledge of military staff processes, training management, and operational planning.
• Ability to brief senior leaders with clear, concise recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support JLLP by collecting and integrating lessons from exercises and operations.
• Conduct operational analysis to identify trends and best practices.
• Plan and facilitate After Action Reviews (AARs) and capture actionable recommendations.
• Develop and update lessons learned guidance and doctrine-related documents.
• Coordinate with Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and interagency partners.
• Prepare executive information papers, briefings, and progress updates.
