Job summary

Sanford Health in Bemidji, MN is seeking a Training and Development Specialist to lead new hire and departmental orientation, design curricula, deliver training, and maintain required documentation for staff in Environmental Services. The role develops staff skills, supports quality assurance initiatives, and collaborates across departments to meet organizational goals.

Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, training methods, and MS Office is preferred; associate degree or 3 years

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or three years equivalent experience in training/education, ancillary services, or healthcare.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methods is preferred.
• Willingness to adjust to cultural differences in order to promote cultural sensitivity and enhance staff morale/satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate new hire orientation as well as departmental orientation, employee competency training, annual regulatory training, and maintain required documentation of staff in assigned areas.
• Assist with departmental quality assurance and process improvement.
• Develop training materials and curricula to meet organizational and stakeholder needs.
• On-boards new employees and provides continuous training for current staff.
