Job summary

CEC Companies seeks a Training & Onboarding Scheduler to coordinate New Hire Orientation and onboarding across Operational Workforce and Corporate teams. Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two to five years of experience in scheduling, coordination, training administration, workforce development, or project support preferred.
  • Experience supporting onboarding programs, workforce training initiatives, or cross-functional coordination strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), scheduling platforms, or workforce tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for new hires transitioning from New Hire Orientation into structured onboarding programs.
  • Support onboarding scheduling for both Operational Workforce employees and Corporate/Administrative team members, ensuring required training milestones are aligned with business needs.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for requested project-site and operational training, including safety, technical, and professional development courses.
  • Manage calendars and scheduling commitments for safety trainers, electrical apprenticeship instructors, and internal subject matter experts.
  • Communicate training schedules, updates, and expectations clearly to new hires, leadership, and operational stakeholders.
  • Track attendance, confirmations, and rescheduling needs while maintaining accuracy in training records and reporting.
  • Partner with SMEs to confirm training delivery, materials, and logistical needs.
  • Maintain onboarding and training schedules within applicable systems and tools.
  • Provide coordination support for local and remote teams across multiple business functions.
  • Assist with continuous improvement by identifying scheduling gaps and recommending process enhancements.
  • Work effectively as a partner with operations, safety, HR, and CEC University leadership.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support projects, operations, and the department.

This position is responsible for managing training calendars, coordinating logistics, and maintaining communication with new hires, hiring managers, and instructors. Work Environment & Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

  • Requires mobility within an office environment.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear. Effectively communicate with others both written and orally, including using the telephone.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • The employee may be required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and bend.
