Job summary

STIHL Inc. is seeking a Training Manager to design and deliver engaging learning experiences for our commercial teams, dealers, and partners in the United States.

You will lead live instruction, coach performance, and partner with instructional designers to adapt programs for real-time learner feedback. The role emphasizes brand values, professionalism, and hands-on product training across STIHL’s categories, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Business, or related field.
• Professional training certifications (ATD Master Trainer, CPTM) strongly preferred.
• 5+ years in a training, facilitation, or coaching role in commercial, retail, or technical industries.
• Experience training on products or systems with hands-on components.
• Familiarity with STIHL’s product categories or dealer networks.
• Proven success in delivering high-impact instruction to adult learners.
• Up to 25% travel by air.
• Strong facilitation and public speaking skills for technical and commercial audiences.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms and classroom technologies.
• Ability to adapt instructional techniques to suit diverse learner needs.
• Basic proficiency with training software (PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
• Highly relational, strong interpersonal and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for STIHL commercial teams, dealers, and channel partners

Purpose

The Training Manager serves as a key instructional leader within STIHL’s Commercial Learning and Development team, responsible for delivering impactful training experiences that sharpen our teams’ capabilities and deepen their connection to the STIHL brand.
