SHIFT/SCHEDULE:

This role operates on the 1st shift, with a flexible schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:00/9:00 AM – 4:00/5:00 PM. Once per week required to work during Overnight Shift hours (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) to connect with shift hourly colleagues.

ONBOARDING SCHEDULE:

To ensure a successful start and seamless integration into the team, this role includes a structured 4–5-day onboarding program, typically scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All new employees are expected to complete this onboarding during their first week.

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Training Lead provides technical training, hands‑on instruction, guidance, and mentorship to new and tenured production associates, as well as certified On‑the‑Job Trainers. The role focuses on coordinating training initiatives with the Line Supervisor to address high‑turnover areas, skill gaps, competency development, and compliance for job certifications and quarterly trainings. The Training Lead ensures consistent standards across shifts, identifies required training document updates, and supports continuous improvement through real‑time coaching, SOP reinforcement, and cross‑functional alignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training Delivery & Coaching
  • Deliver hands‑on training on the production floor for operation colleagues as well as support orientation integration.
  • Provide technical instruction and mentorship to production associates and On‑the‑Job Trainers.
  • Conduct real‑time coaching to address immediate knowledge or performance gaps.
  • Assess learner styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) in real time and adjust training delivery accordingly.
Training Coordination & Compliance
  • Partner with Line Supervisors to manage high‑turnover training areas, competency assessments, and workforce development priorities.
  • Ensure training compliance for all job certifications and quarterly trainings; identify and communicate non‑compliance risks.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices and adherence to documentation standards.
SOP Reinforcement & Operational Standards
  • Reinforce SOP compliance, conduct instructional audits, and ensure proper execution of operational policies.
  • Support lean‑aligned initiatives, continuous improvement routines, and standard work replication across shifts.
  • Identify required updates to training manuals, SOPs, and learning materials; communicate updates to Training Specialists.
  • Create and update training materials following standardized formatting requirements.
  • Build and maintain visual competency boards/resources to help guide staffing and cross‑training decisions.
Digital Tools & Transformation
  • Champion digital learning tools (e.g., POKA, video-based instruction) and support transition to technology‑enabled training.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including required overtime.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills including rapport building, active listening, and effective coaching.
  • Follow detailed instructions with precision and accuracy.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a clean, organized work environment whilemaintainingconsistent attendance.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) meeting required manufacturing standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • First 60 days in this role will be spent out on the manufacturing floor learning end-to-end production process.
  • Work environment requires approximately 80% of time on the production floor
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in training/teaching within a manufacturing environment (This includes real‑time assessment of trainee learning styles and using visual, auditory, and hands‑on methods.)
SKILLS:
  • Operational / mechanical / technical skills sufficient to instruct on production tasks
  • 1–2 years of proficient experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Copilot strongly preferred
  • Ability to create or update training materials in standardized formats
  • Ability to review trainee performance and provide standardized feedback
  • Experience following SOPs, OPI assessment, GMP practices, and other compliance elements
  • Strong communication, people‑skills, and detail‑oriented execution
