Job summary

Nestlé Health Science is hiring a Manufacturing Operator in Franklin Park, IL. You will work on the production line, operate machinery, follow safety and quality protocols, and help ensure every item meets standards. This entry-level role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.

The role runs on the 1st shift with a 2-week rotating 12-hour schedule (5:00 AM–5:30 PM). Onboarding lasts 4–5 days, with 8:00 AM–5:00 PM sessions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Basic reading/writing and math skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment.
  • Load, unload, clean, and adjust machinery.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
  • Accurately measure and scale ingredients.
  • Complete quality checks and record data.
  • Keep your work area clean.
  • Follow safety rules, SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SHIFT/SCHEDULE:

This role operates on the 1st shift, with a schedule following a 2-week rotating 12-hour, schedule—

  • Week 2: work Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
  • The hours will be 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM (12-hour shift)
ONBOARDING SCHEDULE:

To ensure a successful start and seamless integration into the team, this role includes a structured 4–5-day onboarding program, typically scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All new employees are expected to complete this onboarding during their first week.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Manufacturing Operator, you’ll help make the world‑class products behind the brands everyone knows and loves. You’ll work with machinery, follow safety and quality procedures, and make sure everything runs smoothly on the production line. This is an entry‑level role where attention to detail, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are key. No matter the task, your work helps make sure every item that leaves the line is something we’re proud of.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate and monitor production equipment
  • Load, unload, clean, and adjust machinery
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance
  • Accurately measure and scale ingredients
  • Complete quality checks and record data
  • Keep your work area clean
  • Follows safety rules, SOP’s and cGMP guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse work
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and move throughout your shift
SKILLS:
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment and inventory processes (preferred)
  • Comfortable using computers or tablets
  • Able to read, write, and understand English
  • Basic math and mechanical understanding
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team‑oriented and dependable
  • Comfortable working around powders, chemicals, and food allergens

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $21.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
