Job Description Summary: This position is available within the University of Maryland’s Division of Information Technology (DIT). Join our Elevate team to be part of the transformation to the next generation of student services computing at the University of Maryland (UMD). We are seeking an experienced professional to serve as a Training Lead for the Elevate team.
The Training Lead, supervising a team of Training specialists, leads the development, delivery, and optimization of training programs for the Workday Student information system. The position translates complex technical, functional, and security configurations into actionable learning materials, ensuring staff proficiency through instructor‑led sessions, workshops, and documentation to support system implementations and adoption.
The Training Lead receives direct supervision from the Director but is expected to work across the Elevate team as necessary.
Normal office environment - Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Ability to travel around campus for meetings and to attend to duties.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years or more years of professional experience and one (1) year of experience in a supervisory or lead role.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

All positions within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) have an in‑person component with expected time in our College Park, MD location per week. Telework is not a guaranteed work arrangement.
