IQ Sig seeks a Program Analyst to provide expert-level policy and program analysis for the DoW, split between LREC and other SOF training policy matters. The role requires deep SOF experience, DoW HQ exposure, and the ability to craft staff-ready policy documents and briefing materials.
The position involves congressional liaison support, data gathering, and coordination across DoW and Joint Staff, with a Top Secret clearance and a bachelor’s degree.
This position provides expert-level policy and program analysis to the federal staff of the OASW Training and Education Section at the Department of War.
The Program Analyst will be responsible for assisting the government in the oversight of the entire SOF training enterprise. The portfolio is split evenly, with approximately 50% of the duties focused on the Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture (LREC) program and 50% focused on other SOF training policy matters, including statutory proponent areas (e.g., IW, CA, MISO), certification standards and training infrastructure/ranges.
We are seeking a seasoned SOF professional with direct, hands-on experience navigating the formal DoW headquarters environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can immediately distinguish between Secretariat oversight and Component execution, analyze complex capability requirements, and manage competing priorities in a high-tempo setting.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required. A degree in Public Policy, Government, National Security Studies, or a similar field is highly relevant.
The target pay range for this position is between $115,000 and $165,000 per year subject to relevant experience. This position is benefits-eligible. Our suite of benefits includes Health, Dental, Vision, 401k w/ match, Gym Membership discounts, Volunteer Paid Time Off, and a generous PTO package.
