Job summary

Golden SVCS is seeking a capable Firearms Instructor to deliver FPS-certified training to DHS personnel in a secure environment. The role emphasizes in-person and scenario-based instruction, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and adherence to policy.

You will conduct classroom sessions, supervise practical exercises, evaluate learner performance, and maintain meticulous training records while staying current with DHS, FPS, and security training standards.

Qualifications

• Active Firearms Instructor Certification from NRA, Virginia DCJS Firearms Instructor
• Maryland Firearms Instructor
• SOMB Firearms Instructor
• Experience delivering firearms or security-related training
• Strong presentation and classroom management skills

Required Qualifications

• Active Firearms Instructor Certification from one of the following:
  • NRA Firearms Instructor
  • Virginia DCJS Firearms Instructor
  • Maryland Firearms Instructor
  • SOMB Firearms Instructor
• Demonstrated experience delivering firearms and/or security-related training.
• Strong presentation, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to conduct both classroom and practical exercises effectively.
• Knowledge of DHS, FPS, and security training standards.

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a medical exam and drug screening
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
