Job summary

1 Hinds County Board of Supervisors seeks an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead training initiatives for direct care staff and oversee program management.

Design and deliver e-learning courses and workshops, evaluate developmental needs, and help recruit and train staff. This exempt, at-will role requires a Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience in learning and development. Starting salary is $45,145 with county employment protections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology or related field with five years of professional experience.
• Proven experience as an L&D Manager or similar role.
• Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
• Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices.
• Experience in project management and budgeting.
• Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Excellent communication and negotiations skills, sharp business acumen.
• Professional Certification (e.g. CPLP) is a plus.
