Job summary

Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking a Training & Development Manager to lead employee learning, leadership development, performance management, and engagement initiatives across the Town. You will shape the employee experience and build programs that support a high-performing workforce.

You will design and deliver training, assess organizational needs, coach leaders, and drive organizational development while collaborating with departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in training and development, organizational development, human resources, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience designing and personally delivering employee, supervisory, or leadership development programs.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, communication, and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead comprehensive Townwide training, workforce development, and organizational development programs.
• Design and deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and leadership development opportunities for employees at all levels.
• Assess needs and create practical learning solutions that support Town priorities.
• Lead supervisory and leadership development programs to strengthen current and emerging leaders.
• Administer the Townwide performance management program and coach supervisors on performance and development.
• Coordinate employee engagement and recognition initiatives to strengthen culture and connection.
• Provide initial employee relations consultation and guidance to employees and supervisors; use data to improve programs.

The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking a Training & Development Manager to lead employee learning, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives across the Town.

What You Will Do

As the Training & Development Manager, you will help shape the employee experience and strengthen our organization by:

• Developing and leading comprehensive Townwide training, workforce development, and organizational development programs;
• Designing and personally delivering engaging training programs, workshops, and leadership development opportunities for employees at all levels of the organization;
• Assessing employee and organizational development needs and creating practical learning solutions that support Town priorities;
• Leading supervisory and leadership development programs that strengthen the skills and effectiveness of current and emerging leaders;
• Administering the Townwide performance management program and providing guidance and coaching to supervisors and managers regarding employee performance and development;
• Coordinating employee engagement and recognition initiatives that strengthen workplace culture and employee connection;
• Providing initial employee relations consultation, coaching, and guidance to employees and supervisors; and
• Using feedback, performance measures, and workforce data to evaluate programs, identify trends, and continuously improve employee development initiatives.
