Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Training Coordinator to deliver and develop trainings for STOP Placement Office staff and community-based providers in the contracted Program Area.

You will coordinate bi-annual CDCR trainings, assess training needs, and create new modules to enhance program delivery and compliance. Responsibilities include monitoring training plans, collaborating with Compliance, and developing outreach materials to ensure consistent messaging.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• 1 year of training experience in course development and project management preferred.
• 2 years of experience with evidence-based programs preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based programming and related methods preferred.
• Active, valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to understand various treatment models (CBT, addiction theories).
• Experience training large groups required or preferred.
• Excellent English language and spelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate bi-annual trainings with CDCR for Placement Office staff and CBPs.
• Identify training needs and collaborate with Compliance Coordinator on training gaps.
• Develop and deliver additional training sessions as needed.
• Monitor onsite training plans and track progress.
• Develop new training modules as needs arise.
• Collaborate with community criminal justice agencies to inform and coordinate outreach.
• Provide trainings to STOP Placement Office and CBP staff to improve accountability.
• Prepare outreach presentations with STOP providers for consistent messaging.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
