Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated's Systems Control location in Iron Mountain, MI seeks a Training Coordinator to develop, implement, and sustain training programs for the business unit. You will equip teams to perform safely and effectively and set up new members for success as we grow.

In this role, you will maintain training materials, manage document control, and coordinate instructor-led training while partnering with various departments to ensure content meets requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three years in manufacturing/industrial environment with training or technical writing experience.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) a plus.
  • Experience with Training Within Industry (TWI) a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and review training materials, work instructions, and job aids.
  • Manage training document control lifecycle (creation, review, revision, storage, archival).
  • Coordinate and schedule instructor-led training programs and prepare materials.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure content meets requirements.
  • Roll out training from projects and changes with CI/Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Own end-to-end training lifecycle for assigned areas.

Job Overview

Hubbell's Systems Control location in Iron Mountain, MI is looking for a Training Coordinator to become a part of our Integrated Substation Solutions team. As a Training Coordinator, you will support the development, implementation, and sustainment of training programs for the business unit. You will play a key role in equipping our teams to perform their roles safely and effectively, setting up new team members for success as we continue to grow.

A Day In The Life
  • Develop, maintain, and periodically review work instructions, training materials, job aids, and other process documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with operational standards.
  • Manage the training document control lifecycle, including document creation, review, approval, revision control, storage, and archival (both digital and physical).
  • Coordinate and schedule instructor-led training programs, including preparing training environments and required materials.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure training content and documentation meets business and stakeholder requirements.
  • Partner with the Continuous Improvement and Manufacturing Engineering teams to roll out training resulting from projects, improvement events, and operational changes.
  • Own the end-to-end training lifecycle for trainees in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Support the development and certification of trainers through Train-the-Trainer programs and structured qualification processes.
  • Evaluate trainer and program effectiveness within assigned areas.
  • Identify and drive improvements to training systems, documentation, and processes.
  • Regularly create skill development and cross-training plans for assigned areas.
  • Report on training completion, progression, compliance, and other relevant KPIs.
  • Oversee standards for training environments, including governance of tools, materials, documentation, and overall readiness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • At least three years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with experience in training, technical writing, or similar roles preferred.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
