Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Onboard New Staff: Lead core orientation modules for incoming management and field staff.
  • Conduct Continuing Education: Present regular opportunities for continuing education on identified areas of skills/tools deficits such as trauma-informed care, crisis de-escalation, case management.
  • Facilitate Foster Parent Training: Deliver pre-service and continuing education to prospective and licensed foster parents.
  • Support Jenda management staff: Identify, create, source, and deliver content for leadership and management skills.
  • Source External Content: Access state, federal, university, and other training networks to create and supplement internal courses.
  • Create Quick-Reference Tools: Design simple checklists, digital guides, and workflows for field use.
  • Consult with and advise: Provide recommendations to Jenda Administration about effective tools, skills, and trends.
  • Manage Compliance Tracking: Document all training hours for staff and foster parent records as well as contract and license compliance
  • Evaluate Effectiveness: Develop rubrics and administer post-training assessments to measure knowledge retention, course quality, and effectiveness

Schedule: Flexible but office based with predictable office hours.

Compensation: $52.000.00 - $55,000 per year doe

Position Purpose

The Jenda Family Services Training Coordinator drives the skills acquisition and development, growth, compliance, field readiness, and intervention tools catalogue of Jenda Family Services staff and our foster parent network. This hands-on role personally delivers core curricula, identifies gaps in the training and education provided to staff and foster parents, creates training materials to comply with contract and regulatory requirements, as well as ongoing and developing areas of needed skills acquisition, sources and delivers external training materials, and sources and delivers necessary evidence informed tools, models and techniques.

Core Responsibilities
  1. 1. Training Delivery & Facilitation (50%)
    • Onboard New Staff: Lead core orientation modules for incoming management and field staff.
    • Conduct Continuing Education: Present regular opportunities for continuing education on identified areas of skills/tools deficits such as trauma-informed care, crisis de-escalation, case management, and other topics related to effective Jenda services delivery.
    • Facilitate Foster Parent Training: Deliver pre-service (e.g., PRIDE, MAPP) and continuing education to prospective and licensed foster parents.
    • Support Jenda management staff: Identify, create, source, and deliver content for Jenda management staff to improve and refine leadership and management skills and effective support of Jenda staff.
  2. 2. Resource Curation & Administration (50%)
    • Source External Content: Access state, federal, university, and other training networks to create and supplement internal courses.
    • Create Quick-Reference Tools: Design simple checklists, digital guides, and workflows for field use.
    • Consult with and advise: Provide recommendations to Jenda Administration about effective tools, skills, and trends for the improvement of client services.
    • Manage Compliance Tracking: Document all training hours for staff and foster parent records as well as contract and license compliance
    • Evaluate Effectiveness: Develop rubrics and administer post-training assessments to measure knowledge retention, course quality, and effectiveness in improving service delivery skills of Jenda staff.
QualificationsQualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or Education (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: 3+ years in child welfare, foster care case management, or adult education.
  • Certifications: Certified trainer in state-mandated foster parent curricula preferred.
  • Skills: Strong public speaking, gifted in recognizing and adapting to all adult learning styles, empathy, deep knowledge of trauma-informed care, and fluent in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
