The Training Coordinator is a mid‑level management position within Adams County Probation Services. The Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the department’s training, onboarding, and professional development programs. The Coordinator works collaboratively with the Chief Probation Officer, Deputy Chiefs of Operations, Directors, and the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Coordinator to ensure staff possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to deliver high‑quality probation services.
The Training Coordinator oversees training compliance, certification and recertification requirements, and workforce development initiatives. The position integrates evidence‑based practices (EBPs), restorative justice principles, and departmental priorities into training curricula. The Coordinator also evaluates training effectiveness, supports EBP skill development, and ensures training programs reinforce quality assurance findings and continuous improvement strategies.
