Training and Development Supervisor (Licensed Mental Health Therapist)-Cuyahoga County, OH

Role: Training and Development Supervisor-Cuyahoga County, OH

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone every day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
  • Under direction of the Director of Training & Development, oversee the daily operations of the Training Department, ensuring smooth execution of training programs, workshops, and learning sessions.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and trainers to ensure high-quality training services and materials.
  • Maintain communication with all stakeholders to ensure training is aligned with organizational goals and expectations.
  • Lead and manage training-related projects from initiation to completion, including scope, timelines, and budget. Coordinate with stakeholders, track progress, and ensure the successful execution of training initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve training processes to ensure maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business goals.
  • Ensure training programs adhere to regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Generate and present regular reports on training metrics, outcomes, and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, surveys, and feedback to continuously improve offerings.
  • Create and develop engaging training content, including course materials, presentations, job aids, eLearning modules, and quizzes, ensuring that they align with organizational needs and objectives.
  • Lead and facilitate training sessions for employees across various departments, ensuring that learning objectives are met and that sessions are engaging and interactive.
  • Create and sustain an organizational culture that fosters inclusiveness and equity.
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, promote an inclusive work environment and present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Education or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in training coordination, content development, or instructional design, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting.
  • Experience in creating training content (e.g., presentations, job aids, eLearning modules, and assessments).
  • In-depth knowledge of learning management systems (LMS), training tools, and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Familiarity with eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate) or similar content creation platforms is a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry best practices and training methodologies
  • Experience in continuous improvement processes or change management.
  • Effective interpersonal skills; able to speak effectively with individuals and/or groups of people
  • Ability to analyze data, create reports, and present insights to senior leadership.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
  • Successfully meet pre-employment drug screen, physical exam and tuberculosis test requirements.
  • Successfully meet all pre-employment background requirements
