Training or Development Specialist
Designs and conducts training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance, analyzes training needs, and develops instructional materials and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
- Refer trainees to employer relations representatives, job placement assistance, or appropriate social services agencies when warranted.
- Develop or implement training programs related to efficiency, recycling, or other environmental impact issues.
- Attend meetings or seminars to gather information for training programs or to inform management of training program status.
- Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
- Supervise, evaluate, or refer instructors to skill development classes.
