Job summary

Sevita’s Mentor Community Services in Pocatello, ID, is hiring a Training and Development Specialist for full-time work. You will design, implement, and monitor training programs that support field operations and staff development.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and CPR/First Aid certification, with strong communication and organizational skills. You will collaborate across management, HR, and staff to identify training needs and deliver diverse training modalities.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/First Aid Certification as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintains course curriculum.
• Confer with management and staff to identify skill gaps, training objectives, work situations, and policy changes.
• Design, create, and update training aids such as manuals, handouts, exercises, and visual aids.
• Deliver instruction using modalities including one-on-one, classroom, teleconferencing, web-based training, and computer-based training.
• Confer with management, internal training consultants, and HR to identify additional training needs for new staff.
• Ensure ongoing feedback of training programs and modify programs as needed.
• Prepare and facilitate client-specific and clinical training in addition to new hire orientation, CPR, and medical administration.
• Provide input regarding formulation and modification of procedures pertaining to agency training.
• Maintain knowledge of organizational and industrial trends and recommend updates.
