Job summary

SUEZ is seeking a trained professional to lead health, safety and transport training. You will arrange and deliver practical courses, build stakeholder relationships, and maintain training data while ensuring compliance with regulations.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement through data analysis and adapting to new training technologies. Ideal candidates will hold relevant teaching qualifications, IOSH or equivalent, and be able to travel regionally as needed.

Qualifications

• DVLA Cat C Licence (min 3 years) and in-date Driver CPC.
• Experience in Transport and/or Health & Safety.
• Teaching/training qualification or willingness to work towards.
• Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
• IT literate: MS Office, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint.

Job description

What will I be doing?

• Working with the Health, Safety & Transport Manager, ensuring that the training content, course material and course delivery are of a high standard.
• Arrange and deliver practical and engaging health, safety & transport training.
• Build strong and positive relationship with key stakeholders to ensure full participation and attendance to all training course to raise the safety standards within SUEZ R&R.
• Provide & maintain training data
• Assist in the analysis of performance data (including incidents) to identify improvements to existing learning approaches and packages.
• Maintaining a professional qualification to deliver Health, Safety and Transport training, and ensure that all training and assessments comply with relevant statutory regulations and internally set guidelines and standards.
• Input into the regular review of policies and procedures which relate to health, safety and transport.
• Review of new technological or digital approaches by the business to determine any adaption to the training needs.

What are the requirements?

• DVLA Cat C Licence (minimum 3 years) and in-date Driver CPC.
• Experience in Transport and/or Health & Safety (training provided in any gaps).
• Previous LGV Instructor/Assessor experience desirable.
• IOSH Managing Safely (or higher), with commitment to further professional development.
• Teaching/training qualification (e.g. PTTLS/NVQ Level 3 Award in Education & Training) or willingness to work towards.
• Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
• IT literate, including Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to travel regionally and occasionally nationally, including overnight stays where required.
