Training Academy Manager Description – Role Overview

The Manager, Training Academy Manager will lead the HP Indigo and LF Training Academy across the Americas, owning the end-to-end training function for both customer-facing and internal technical training programs. This role is responsible for defining and executing the training strategy to support customer success, service readiness, and business growth, while driving operational excellence and financial performance. Training is delivered in hands‑on, production-based environments on HP digital presses, requiring a leader who can operate effectively at the intersection of service, sales, and customer engagement. Leading a large and diverse organization of approximately 15 trainers and supporting staff, this role will play a critical part in shaping the future of training—ensuring alignment with business priorities, technological advancements, and evolving customer needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the HP Indigo training strategy for the Americas, including the development of future‑ready training methodologies, tools, and learning experiences aligned to customer and business needs.

  • Internal Technical Training (Service Enablement): Own and expand internal technical training for field service engineers and support teams, including onboarding, certification, and ongoing capability development to ensure service readiness and performance.
  • Lab & Infrastructure Management: Own and manage multiple training labs and facilities, ensuring they are equipped, maintained, and aligned with current and future platform requirements, while supporting a professional and safe customer facing training environment.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Global Business Unit (GBU) on new product introductions, platform readiness, and training alignment. Collaborate with Service leadership to strengthen internal capability building. Work with Sales teams and directly with customers to drive training adoption, value realization, and revenue opportunities.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage directly with customers and key stakeholders to ensure training programs deliver measurable business outcomes and support customer success.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish KPIs, governance, and performance tracking to continuously improve training effectiveness, resource utilization, and overall business impact. Operate effectively within a dynamic environment balancing trainer capacity, equipment availability, and customer demand.
