Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Transportation Trainer/Instructor to deliver classroom and hands-on training on state and district bus regulations and safety procedures. The role includes evaluating bus drivers and transportation education assistants, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and promoting positive community relations within the district.

• Experience delivering safety or driver training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Attend safety meetings and trainings to present/state requirements.
• Schedule training and testing for bus drivers and TEAs.
• Maintain documents and records for audits and compliance.
• Evaluate performance of bus drivers and TEAs to ensure skill levels meet standards.
• Oversee licensing, training, and certificate status for drivers.
• Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel training for drivers and TEAs.
• Prepare training materials and driver evaluations.
• Maintain knowledge of FMCSR CDL rules and regulations.

Trainer / Instructor - Transportation## Job Description:Provide classroom and hands-on training addressing school bus regulations and safety procedures; evaluate bus drivers and transportation educational assistants (TEA) on their knowledge and skills; maintain required documentation for audit and compliance with state, federal, and district requirements, and transporting students. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.
