Job Location: Posse Bay Area - San Francisco, CA

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 per year

Description:

The Posse trainer helps recruit, train, and support Posse Scholars. Responsibilities include outreach to high schools and community organizations, interviewing candidates, guiding college applications, and supporting Scholars from high school through college graduation. Trainers facilitate weekly workshops on leadership, communication, team-building, and academic excellence. They also travel to partner universities quarterly to meet with Scholars, monitor academic progress, and collaborate with campus mentors to ensure Scholars receive necessary support. Trainers report to the program director and collaborate with co-trainers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience working with youth, facilitation, counseling, and at least two years of relevant work experience preferred
• Experience one-on-one with high school and college students
• Excellent writing, communication, presentation, and time management skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to relate to diverse high school and college students
• Enthusiastic, strong work ethic, able to work independently and in teams, serve as a positive role model
• Knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area public high schools is a plus
• Willingness and ability to travel; a valid driver’s license preferred
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, internet research, and email
