Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Trainer (1st Shift) in Irving, TX, for a 12-month term. The role supports manufacturing training, onboarding, and records in a regulated environment.

You will facilitate learning events, coordinate new Learning Units with Process Owners, and coach employees through training progression to ensure adherence to established systems. The position requires hands-on training delivery, strong communication, and the ability to analyze training metrics for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in training, learning and development, manufacturing operations, or quality systems.
  • Experience facilitating classroom, virtual, or hands-on training.
  • Experience maintaining training documentation in a regulated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate Requests for Training (RFTs) as needed.
  • Deliver orientation and onboarding training for new hires and transferred employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all training procedures, policies, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain training records and associated change control activities.
  • Facilitate Group Verifications, Cross Verifications, and other learning events.
  • Coordinate implementation of new Learning Units with Process Owners and Learning Unit Developers.
  • Coach and mentor employees through training programs and learning objectives.
  • Conduct instructor-led training sessions, including introductory courses on learning tools and systems.
  • Track and analyze training metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and leadership at all levels of the organization.

Shift: 6AM TO 2:30PM

Position Summary

The Trainer is responsible for supporting employee training and development programs within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with training procedures and policies, provides onboarding and orientation support for new hires and transferred employees, and maintains accurate training records. The Trainer will facilitate learning events, support implementation of new learning units, and coach employees through their training progression while driving adherence to established learning systems.

Required Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in training, learning and development, manufacturing operations, quality systems, or a related field.
  • Experience facilitating classroom, virtual, or hands-on training sessions.
  • Experience maintaining training documentation in a regulated environment preferred.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience within a GMP, pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and training compliance programs.
  • Experience supporting employee qualification and verification processes.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
