Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United States is seeking a First Shift Trainer to coach and evaluate associates on MHE and classroom instruction. You will build training content and deliver sessions for 7:00am-3:00pm operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on MHE experience (order picker, reach truck, sit-down forklift, electric pallet jack), familiarity with WMS systems, and strong verbal/written communication skills to lead groups of 20–30 people.

Qualifications

• WMS experience with systems like JDA, Blue Yonder, SAP or Manhattan is required.
• 1 year or more operating Order Picker, Reach Truck, Sit-down forklift and Electric Pallet Jack.
• Minimum 1 year in a supply chain, logistics or warehouse environment across multiple departments.
• PIT trainer certification preferred; training will be provided if not held.
• Excellent computer literacy, including spreadsheets, and ability to present to groups.

Responsibilities

• Present training to associates and communicate clearly.
• Evaluate ramp-up RPM and create steps for success.
• Create work reference guides and training materials.
• Cross-train with outside workers and vendors as needed.
• Certify associates for MHE and ensure compliance.
• Participate in Safety Committee and support safety initiatives.

Position: First (1st) Shift Trainer
Shift: 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday - Friday. Some OT may be required.
Pay: $21.35

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

• A Certified PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Trainer is strongly preferred but will train the ideal candidate.
• At least 6 month's experience with a WMS such as JDA, Blue Yonder, SAP, Manhattan, etc. is a MUST!
• MUST have a minimum of one (1) years’ experience safely operating the following: Order (Cherry) Picker, Reach Truck, Sit-down, Electric Pallet Jack.
• MUST have one (1) years’ experience within a supply chain, logistics, warehouse, distribution environment within multiple departments to include: Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Order Replenishment. Returns.
• Excellent Computer literacy, experience with spreadsheets, and the ability to present effectively in a group setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead and train others in large groups of 20-30.
• Experience within a safety department, committee, and/or additional safety related training is highly preferred.

Role Purpose:

Training and evaluation of associates on MHE and classroom instructions.

Key Accountabilities:

• Present training to associates and effectively communicate will all Associates
• Evaluate Associate’s RPM on ramp up form and create steps for success
• Assist with creating work reference guide.
• Effective initial training and cross training of associates and outside workers (Labor Share Associates, vendors, etc.)
• Support operations as needed by leadership
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
• Certify Associates for MHE
• Actively participate in the YOBE process
• Create system login for all Associates (SeeIT, JDA, etc.)
• Updating on company goals and procedures.
• Identify training needs
• Conduct BBS observations
• Participate in Safety Committee

Required Education and Experience:

• Related technical experience
• MHE experience(sit down forklift and pallet jack)
• MHE experience(stand up forklift, reach truck, clamp, and slip), preferred
• Scrubber, preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
