Job summary

RB Global Inc. in Westchester, IL, is seeking a Trainee Territory Sales Manager for a 6-month hands-on training program.

You will learn from our sales teams, gain insight into our business and customers, and develop the skills and processes needed to become a Territory Sales Manager in a multi-million-dollar territory. Upon completion, you enter a Sales Practicum of 1–3 months, supported by your sales coach and team, then advance to full Territory Sales Manager responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years in a structured sales role, with a track record of meeting/exceeding quotas.
• Strong learning ability and desire to learn about the business and customers.
• Strong work ethic with humor and fun on the job.
• Valid, clean driver’s license; ability to travel 1–2 days per week and occasional week-long trips.
• Experience with heavy equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication and listening skills; ability to build relationships.
• Head for numbers and quick decision making in a fast-paced setting.

Description

The Trainee Territory Sales Manager will be placed into an intensive 6-month hands-on training program where they will work with and learn from one of our sales teams. This program is designed to educate the trainee on our business, our customers and the skills and processes required to become a successful Territory Sales Manager. Upon completion of the training, the trainee will then enter a Sales Practicum period of 1 to 3 months. Here the trainee will be given the opportunity to put your training to practice while still supported by your sales coach and team. Upon completion of this structured training program, the trainee will then be qualified to be a Territory Sales Manager within a multi-million-dollar territory.

Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years in a structured sales role, and a consistent track record of meeting & exceeding quotas.


• You have a strong learning ability, coupled with a desire to learn more about everything around you.


• A strong work ethic without sacrificing your sense of humor or ability to have fun on the job.


• The ability to travel 1 to 2 days per week to cover the territory, as well as up to a week a few times per year to attend auctions and training.


• You will have to maintain a valid, clean driver’s license.


• It helps if you have experience with heavy equipment.


• Strong communication skills, especially when it comes to listening.


• A head for numbers, and the ability to make sound decisions quickly in a fast-paced setting.


• A natural ability to build authentic customer relationships
