Job summary

Clarkson PLC is seeking a Trainee Broker to support the broker desk during the daily trading cycle, provide back-up for broker confirmations, and assist the office manager with daily tasks. Training will be provided to develop licensing knowledge.

The role involves data entry, market reporting, and hands-on exposure to industry tools such as Bloomberg, Argus, and E-Confirm platforms. A candidate with strong Excel skills and eagerness to learn is preferred.

• Basic proficiency with Excel for charting/data presentation.

Responsibilities

• Compile analysis of prior day’s trading volumes and enter data into corresponding spreadsheets.
• Update and maintain Wallboard market information.
• Learn and utilize the Bloomberg terminal and Link page.
• Generate ranking reports and revenue reports weekly.
• Assist brokers in writing up daily transactions as they occur in real time.
• Inputting deals in E-Confirm with Access, recaps and deal sheets.
• Record and log all trades in deal book; ensure broker approvals.

• Ensure accurate record keeping and documentation for all Exchange traded products

Link Data Services

• Generate, assist with and send out Link Crude Daily Report, End of Day and Canadian Report.
• Updating settlement prices for Forward curve
• Manage distribution lists for all LDS reports.
