Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Laborer to start a hands-on career in construction at our Chesapeake operations.

This role offers practical experience across trades such as Mechanical Repair/Maintenance, Welding, Concrete Finishing, Pipe Laying, and more, with a clear path to advanced positions. Expected base pay ranges from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including medical, life, disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401K.

This entry-level Laborer position is designed to provide you with practical construction experience that will allow you the opportunity to expand your knowledge of the construction industry and provide a career path through one or more of the following trades:

Mechanical Repair/Maintenance - Heavy Equipment, Mid-Size Equipment, and Diesel Trucks

Welding (Bridge/Structural)

Concrete Finishing

Pipe Laying (Storm/Water/Sewer)

Pile Driving

Mechanical Wrenching/Pipefitting

Marine Vessel Labor (Deckhand)

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old at date of hire.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Drug free (including THC related products)
• Eligible to work in the US

Daily activities will enable you to experience applicable processes and management methods firsthand. Supervisors and project staff will structure your work efforts to help you learn about your area of interest while you contribute directly to the completion of a quality project.

Expected base pay range for this positions is: $18.00/hr - $21.00/hr

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
