Conservation Legacy’s Arizona Conservation Corps is seeking a Trails Data Specialist intern for the Red Rock Ranger District in Sedona, AZ. The role focuses on collecting social trail data, GIS mapping, and updating the forest website, with opportunities to participate in trail gap analyses and project prioritization.
The position runs from January 11, 2027 to July 9, 2027 as an AmeriCorps member, offering field exposure, ArcGIS training, and a robust service experience in outdoor recreation
Qualifications
- US citizen, US national, or lawful permanent resident.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent; agree to obtain before education award use.
- Agree to National Service Criminal History Check.
- Self-starter with professionalism.
Responsabilités
- Collect social trail data with ArcGIS Online/Field Maps.
- Document conditions and photograph trails.
- Update Coconino National Forest website using Drupal/NRM.
- Support trail gap analysis and project prioritization.
- Shadow team members and learn GIS/ recreation planning.
