AmeriCorps & Senior Corps in New Mexico seeks members to build, maintain, and restore public trails in Lincoln and Otero Counties. You will work outdoors on supervised crews to protect watersheds and support outdoor recreation.

Training includes First Aid/CPR, GIS data collection, and safety protocols; members receive a living allowance and an education award upon successful completion, with opportunities for leadership development.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work in varying weather and high elevation.
• Ability to work on supervised crews.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and restore public trails in Lincoln and Otero Counties, NM.
• Help document work with GPS/GIS data, photos, and field logs.
• Assist with hazard mitigation, drainage improvements, and erosion control.
