Job summary

Coca-Cola Consolidated in Capitol Heights is seeking a Switcher I to safely move full and empty trailers between docks and drop locations, supporting inbound and outbound warehouse operations. You will inspect trailers for mechanical issues, tag out when needed, and communicate findings to management.

The role may require operating a forklift or other PIT equipment and adapting to varying conditions in a loud, non-climate controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of work experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Transport full and empty trailers between docks and designated drop parking spaces.
• Inspect trailers before transporting to identify mechanical issues or safety hazards.
• Maintain organization and safety of the trailer yard and surrounding work area.
• Perform pallet building or related tasks as requested by management.
• May operate a forklift or other PIT equipment as needed.
