Job summary

Paycom - ATS, based in Sumner, IA, is seeking an experienced Welder to fabricate and weld metal components for trailers. The role requires reading blueprints, setting up welds, and inspecting finished work to ensure quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of industrial welding experience, be able to pass a weld test, and tolerate lifting up to 50 lbs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
• Must be able to pass vertical, horizontal and overhead weld tests.
• Maintain a clean work area following 5S and safety standards.
• Must pass drug screen and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality standards are met.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Maintain 5S and safety standards in the work area.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces for flaws.
• Assist other welders to complete work efficiently.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in overhead positions as required.
